Everything has been running fine for a long time. Apparently, last Wednesday, Cox changed some switched digital signals back to fixed channel. Now, in order to get those particular channels, I need to disable the digital tuning adapter (DTA). For example, channels 1091, 1093, 1094 and 1095 will no longer appear with the DTA enabled, but can be watched if either the DTA power or the USB cable from the Tivo to the DTA is unplugged. Channel 1090 has disappeared completely, although the equivalent standard definition channel 90 can be viewed, but only when the DTA is active.
I swapped out the DTA on Thursday, and verified that the DTA firmware was up-to-date, but that didn't change anything. Two Cox technicians worked at my house for almost two hours Saturday trying to figure it out, without success, and one tech is scheduled to return next Wednesday to give it another try. They tried rebooting the Tivo, unpairing and pairing the CableCard, resetting the DTA, checking the signal levels, updating the splitter, and looking for cabling problems.
I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this problem, and can possibly offer some guidance.
