Quick Menu--KIDS NEWS

The Problem: When I press the MENU button on the remote the QUICK MENU appears with selections for KIDS or NEWS (the only choices). If you select KIDS(Cox Channel 996) for example, six Picture in a Picture (PIP) boxes appear with (HUB, NICK, Jr, etc) labeling bars below each box.  Periodically and regularly about every 6-8 weeks or so the 6 PIP boxes are displayed on a blank, black screen...nothing but the labeling. This holds true for the NEWS (Cox Channel 997) from the QUICK MENU and SPORTS which is even on the QUICK MENU (Cox Channel 998). When I call to report this, ONLY one out of 10 times does the Customer Service rep have any idea how to correct the problem. Re-setting of the cable box DOES NOT work although every time I call that's the first thing they tell you do.  Sending a Technician out won't solve the issue, because it is not on my end but a problem within the Cox programing. The way the issue is usually resolved, I am told by the Cox telephone reps, is a ticket needs to be created which I am told is sent to Tech support and within 24-48 hours, usually 24, the QUICK MENU problem is resolved, however I don't think EVERY 6-8 weeks you should have to call and spend 30 mins each time or so explaining a issue that is chronic issue.  I ONLY use the KIDS selection because I have  kids and  grandkids. Any ideas on why this happens would be appreciated!!!!!
