Have been battling the install of a new Tivo Roamio Pro for 48 hours. 7 over the phone Cox technicians and 2 cable cards, 2 tuning adapters later, still no working Tuning Adapter. It is clear that the Motorola MTR-700 firmware was updated out in Cox Kansas in December, and the Hampton Roads area is not able to know this? Tivo is clear, they will not allow their Roamio Pro to connect on its USB to a MTR-700 with firmware less than 1.40.
How is it that 7 calls now over 2 days and Cox is sending a tech out in person to troubleshoot? Who in CableCard/Tuning Adapter Cox Support can flash my firmware to 1.40 TODAY?
Who can I call?
A 31 year customer of Cox... and I believe Cox tech support is better lately... but this issue should be a hot button on the HelpDesk's Tivo cheat sheet.
