A couple of months ago I had Cox come out and upgrade some items and install cable in two of the rooms.....I had to have a different person come out a second time as nothing was done right the first time around.....even after the second guy came out...it was a little better but it has never been 100 percent right. I had previously had the normal HD/DVR box attached to my TV and opted to get the Contour box where you can record six shows at the same time....the guy at the Cox store told me it would be no additional charge......so I did it....and found out later after it was installed that it was going to be more money....after ranting and raving about the two times people came out and the mixed communications I had received a gentleman on the phone with cox was able to work with me and remove some charges and make me happy for a bit......I still continue to have issues...I have to stand right in front of the Contour Box with the remote up against it in order to change changes and fast forward and pause..............then I get the bill in the mail and it's 500 bucks.........OMG...I'm ready to drop Cox all together. The guy on the phone was supposed to take some charges off and nope....they are still there....I was already paying over 200 a month for internet, phone and cable .......now, my bill is 500...which has the one time charges for their crappy service people to come out to my house a few weeks ago.......OMG. I'm about ready to take my business someplace else. I used to rave about Cox before I tried to upgrade some services.............now they are worse then what I had with Quest a million years ago.
