Contour Issues

I have had my contour whole home DVR for about a week now.

Overheating:

My DVR6 (main) box after only being on for about 2 hours will post an "overheating" problem and shuts off.  It will return a few minutes later to shut off after another 10 minutes for the same reason.  When it turns on , it is fine and stays on.  The unit is about 2 inches high by 14 inches wide and about 8 inches deep.  The area in is in is about 5 inches high, 20 inches wide, and 20 inches deep.  I note this only to show that it has plenty of room to "breathe".

Remote Issues:

My remote works fine for EVERYTHING, but turning on the box.  I can physically push the button on the box and it will turn on just fine and everything works after that, but on nearly all the boxes, they randomly will power on by the remote.

Rewinding:

My old DVR (from Cox), when you fast forward it, on resuming, depending on how fast you were forwarding, would rewind the video back a minute or so.  This was nice, because you were skipping about 3 minutes per second and couldn't stop perfect, so this "corrected" for you.  The new contour boxes do not do this.  Is there a way to enable this feature?

DVR unavailability:

Sporadically, the boxes will give me "DVR not available at this time" errors.  Why?

Box Reboots:

The boxes randomly reboot. This occurs on both the main box and the clients. Why is this?

Client DVR playback freezing:

One of my clients would freeze and I would have to pull the plug to reboot the box.  I read a forum that said to reboot the main box and then reboot each of the clients.  It hasn't happened since.  But not sure if I need to do anything else or it may help troubleshooting.
