I just started to download Cox Connect to watch TV on my PC. Then I read the privacy policy and was very disturbed. It asks me to agree that Cox has the right to collect not just personally identifying information like my name and email address, but also my EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS.
Why on earth should you demand the right to collect the CONTENT of your customers' emails in order for them to watch TV on a PC? How is this different from the information that Cox has already, if they are the provider of the customer's email services? If a customer does not use Cox as their email provider, does Cox gain access to that email, as well? Why do you need, and what do you do with, the content of your customers' emails, and how do you justify making this a part of your privacy policy?
I would really appreciate a clear and specific explanation of this part of your privacy policy, including why you demand to collect email COMMUNICATIONS and what, exactly, you do with the contents of your customers' emails.
