Audio not in sync with picture

The audio on HD channel is out of sync, but it is fine on the std station.  I rebooted the receiver but the problem remains.  Any solutions will be appreciated.


Contour Guide on my PC no longer shows local channels ?

As the title says, I no longer see any local channels (3-16 + 1003-1016) in the Contour Guide on my PC.  PS: it also does the same thing on my Cell phone.  

Cable box keeps rebooting itself

My cable box has suddenly started rebooting itself every few min. When it comes back on it is completely unresponsive. I can't change channels or even turn it off. Even the buttons on the box will not change the channel or turn it off. What gives?

Hello, I am trying to watch a 20/20 special that aired on Friday night, 1/29/16. I tried on my IPad and on my computer and I get error 400-1. I am signed in to both of my devices. Please advise why this is happening and how I can fix it? BTW, I am able to watch other shows that I do not have to verify to watch. Thanks! Christina

Contour not recording whole program

Just picked up a replacement Contour box a few days ago.  What I am finding is that several shows have only started recording about 4 to 6 minutes into the show. So if its a one hour show I only have 56 minutes of it. Anyone ever have this issue?

I hooked up minibox to tv using hdmi cable.  I do not get channels 3, 5, 8, 23, and 25, which were the old analog stations.  Every others cable channel works.  Error says channel not available.  I did channel scan, rebooted, tried direct cable instead of hdmi.  Nothing seems to work.  Anyone else having this problem?

I need my Fox and NBC stations in Lafayette LA. As a customer of iver 20 years with premium services I am Giving you guys until Tuesday to resolve the dispute or I am either cutting the cord or switching service providers.

Pulling Fox channels from Cox Cable

I truly only have a statement.Pulling Fox channels from Cox Cable, I think this is Very upsetting News to myself as well as other viewers. Fox is the Most televise station in the NFL and you have the audacity to pull it just before the Superbowl and Pro-bowl. Yes, I understand that these two event will not be broadcast on Fox, but the future of NFL viewing will be affected. To be Nice I am Mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my major reasons for keeping Cable is due to Sports.

Before y'all (and you know who you are) threaten to leave Cox in search of greener pastures, you might want to educate yourself on some large consent battles. DirecTV and DISH are not at all immune to any of this.

CableCARD with Sony Bravia TV

I have the TV Essentials package (analog only). Because of the Cox transition to digital only, I picked up a CableCARD and MiniBox today. I installed the cablecard into my Sony Bravia TV KDL-V40XBR1 (purchased 2006).  The TV does not support a connection to a tuning adapter and I've been told that my channel lineup doesn't use SDV in Hampton Roads.

After a few calls to very friendly and helpful customer support people (Brittney and Keegan) the card was paired using the Card Id, Host Id and Data numbers. The support rep was able to reset the card remotely, etc... However, when I try to access any of the channels, the TV reports either "No signal" or "Not Authorized".  The TV on-screen cablecard status page titled "Conditional Access" has a field that says "Auth: ?" - (which may/may not be meaningful)

Before starting another phone call, is there perhaps something with my account that needs to be updated?

(The MiniBox works just fine by the way.)

Cablecard/HDHomerun loses channels every month

About once a month (sometimes it skips a few weeks) my HDHomerun loses access to anything that requires subscription access. So, basically everything besides the local broadcast channels.

The first time, they fixed it over the phone.

The second time, they fixed it over the phone.

The third time, they had someone come out, check everything, and fixed it over the phone.

So, now they want to send someone out to check everything again.

Has anyone had problems like this? Can I reach someone in tech support that can do more than just reset the box, re-pair the card and then give up?

Record a live series

I cannot get my DVR to record Real Time with Bill Maher on Fridays at 9pm Central (HBO 1200 New Orleans).  Does this have something to do with Contour noting in the listing that the show is "Live"?  I've tried the options of record first run and repeats, 9pm only, first run only, and various other combinations.  Nothing works.  It will not record any episodes.  I don't have this problem if I record it later as a series on another HBO channel, but I would like it to record the live airing.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks!  It's driving me crazy!  Haha.

How come all of the other forum discussions on this are locked. Especially if it's not Cox's fault according to employee post. As a matter of economics, as I said before these channels are in my bill and have been for a month out because we pay in advance. It's the same as going to the gas station paying for hi-test and receiving regular because the supplier switched the pipes because the supplier raised the rates. But in this case Cox did not credit my bill ( nor at least none of my friends ) for the lack of the service and the fact Cox is NOT paying Fox for the service this month. As stated before, tell me 30 days out no service and I will make my choice. Economics is simple. Just look at the fact we were billed and no service. The FCC will get a letter from me tomorrow.

I have been a customer with Cox for 15 years and in that time  my bill has gone up for no reason almost like clock work. I have to admit that cable is better than satellite but the company should give the customers  that it serves the right to choose if they want to loose a favorite channel or pay for it. And shame on CBS what are they thinking. I already pay almost 200.00 dollars a month so what's the difference of paying another 5-10 bucks a month. Thank you for letting me vent.

TBS audio and video out of sync

Audio precedes video on TBS channel. This happens during commercials, too. This is the case on all my TVs. They are connected to the digital mini boxes. I don't have this problem on any other channels.

Local on the 8's

I live in the Fort Walton Beach  - Mary Esther, FL area and our Weather Channel "Local on the 8's" is not local anymore. That is on channel 38. I have set up the new mini box in one of our rooms and cannot get channel 324  (Weather scan)  which does have local weather.  I can only receive channel 324 on a premium cable box. I need to be able to see local weather on all of my TV's.

I see from this closed topic this is nearly a year long still unresolved problem, and it  is now effecting my area.

I live in north Phoenix 85021 aka Sunnyslope. 20+ year customer, Internet, Phone and HD TV via DVR. $200 a frigg'n month.

I have been let down for the last time by Cox and severing every tie for good.

The last 2 weekends have been NFL football Playoffs, the AZ Cardinals have been on Fox 10 1010 HD and no HD, not available. A good 10 calls to tech support over that week and all they was the same jump tough the hoops BS of resetting the box when the problem was the box was right, the signal I pay big every month was not on the wire.

I proved this by taking the line from the telephone pole with no spliters  for anything, just wire straight to box and same result.

I even turned in my beloved Scientific Atlantic dual tuner DVR that stays on buffing 2 tuners all the time for this BS POS 'new and improved' box that does everything it can including shutting off to receive as little as possible, and even then I still missed the NFC Championship game in HD.

Well Cox in Phoenix, screwing long time high dollar customers like me at a crucial time for this community to make extra buck just cost you me and as many other people I can reach so they don't get screwed too, and for management, well...

Your don't take a company that has provided the best options in the past and destroy the service for even more profit.

Bye Bye Cox and the idiot that thought this scheme up to make more profit, you will never get another penny from me which doesn't really grow profits does it?

No, it just pisses people willing to pay for reliability off ,and you'll be a second tier company if you don't change direction.
