Software Update Causing System-Wide Contour Issues?

A Cox supervisor told me that there are system-wide issues with a software update that was causing problems with Contour whole-home dvr systems. I can't find anything on this online, and I am wondering if anyone else has had similar issues.

On Sunday afternoon (April 13) the host box for my whole-home DVR reset itself, and when it restarted it got stuck on the Cisco start-up screen, leaving it completely unusable.  After repeatedly unplugging and re-plugging the box (including leaving it unplugged overnight) and having Cox send multiple refresh codes to the box, Cox sent a technician out to replace the host box.  Unfortunately, the new box only worked for about an hour until it reset itself, too. Now the new host box also is not working correctly. While it will start up so I can use it to watch TV, I cannot access the DVR functions at all from my client box, either to watch or record shows.

So, Cox sent out a supervisor yesterday who replaced the host box, confirmed all of the settings for my system, and re-wired my entire house, all to no avail. After having been at my house for more than 5 hours, he said that Cox sent out an internal bulletin while he was at my house (on April 15) acknowledging this as a known issue, and that it could take up to several days for a fix to be rolled out. He also said that the problem was the result of a software update that was rolled out, which is why the box reset in the first instance, and that I was one of the earliest cases because I was one of the earliest to receive the update that caused the issue.  

Has anyone else heard about this problem or experienced similar issues? If so, can you share what you know?
