Need old recordings back!!

I had received my digital box about two weeks ago and installed it myself. I followed the steps as laid out on the box and programmed the remote. I had initial thought that my old box that has all my recordings on it would be going obsolete, but I have grown to figure out it isn't. I plugged my old box back up and started it back up and the only message it pulls up is IA09, googled that and it says to restart the whole modem, tried that, all i get is that message. 

So this is how I have everything set up. My cable comes out of the wall and splits, one is hooked up to the NETGEAR WIFI and the other is connected to the digital receiver. The digital receiver is plugged into power and has and HDMI that goes to the TV. the old modem is plugged into power and has a HDMI going to the new digital receiver. 

Any advise on how to get my old receiver and recordings to work would be greatly appreciated!!

Contour Recording Issue

Got a question, for some reason shows are starting to record 4 minutes late. Its random shows at random times. Sometimes the same shows that record 4 minutes late one day won't the next. Has anyone had this issue and know how to resolve this. I don't want to call tech support because ill get the canned "unplug for 1 min"... then "well we will send a tech out" and of course the tech won't know and will want to replace my box.....

Any ideas?!

I've received my letter and my minibox and CableCards. Thanks to this transition (BIG sarcastic quotes on "Thanks") I've upgraded my Tivos to CableCard units. However, I'm running some of my old gear in tandem just in case there are any problems.

I remember talking with one Cox rep and she mentioned February 9th as a cutoff date for AMC, Animal Planet and some others. Then a March date further cuts off more channels and finally sometime in April, the change will be complete and everything will be encrypted.

Is there some web link I'm unaware of that has these dates? I'd like to know when the end is official and how it will come.

DVR exchange

Hi, I received an email about my DVR being defective and online I asked for replacement. Will you guys ship me one and then I drop mine at Cox solutions store or I have to take my DVR to Cox store and exchange it at the store..?

Where did all my favorite oldies show go?  It was there 1 day and gone the next?  I am missing Green Acres, Mr Ed, Dennis the Menace, My mother the car, etc.  Channel 125 now has complete junk on it and says LAFF tv.  I pay extra to get this station and I am upset it is gone.  Please put the oldies back.  When you click on Antenna TV your line up does not match theirs.

The TV box can't be turned on

After a power outage, the Cox TV box can't be turned on. All the other electrics in my home function well. Not sure why it happens.

Fast-forward to the next scene of a recorded program?

The Contour manual says it can Fast-forward to the next scene of a recorded program but I cannot figure out how to do it.  Here is the link where it states it has this capability.  http://welcome.cox.com/advanced-tv/equipment/dvr/contour/

These forums would be more useful if you required the posts to state location of user. So many of the problems posted are of a local nature and not system wide. Every Cox market does not have the same channel lineup.

What is the additional cost to the customer who has 8 TVs now in the house using Cable.

My current Cable and Internet is $160 a month, what type of increase am I looking at now if I keep my 8 TVs. Is the cost an additional $3 a month times 8 plus what I have been paying or is it more than that?

MiniBox with Hauppage WinTV Tuner card in my PC

Hi

I subscribe to Cox digital cable with HD. I have two TVs with cable boxes but I also have a Hauppage WinTV HVR 1600 in my PC as well. I run the cable to my PC without a cable box. I don't really need it. I use this setup to record the channels that I can receive without a cable box. This has been working well for years.

I would like to understand how this pending change (requiring me to use the MiniBox) will affect my recordings.

Currently, this TV tuner see two sets of channels: 

Set1: Approx 90 Analog channels

Set2: Approx 30 OTA HD channels (Clear QAM).

If I understand this correctly, I will no longer see the analog channels without this box yes? Will I still see the OTA/Clear Qam channels without the box or do I need the box for those too?

Tivo Bolt and Cox OnDemand

Hello,

I just installed a brand new Tivo Bolt and live in 89052 zip code. I am not able to get the OnDemand applet to show up in my list of providers on the Tivo. Tivo says that is an issue with the Cox Servers not being able to talk to the Tivo servers. Do you have an info on this issue?

TBS audio and video out of sync

Audio precedes video on TBS channel. This happens during commercials, too. This is the case on all my TVs. They are connected to the digital mini boxes. I don't have this problem on any other channels.

Contour User Guide

I recently exchanged my DVR with a Contour DVR box at a local COX retail store. There was no user guide in the box with the Contour unit. Using COX support online, I have found a user manual in as a .pdf file which I have downloaded. The file is labeled as "Trio_User_Manual.pdf", not what I expected. How can I obtain a hard copy user manual? Just printing what I downloaded is not a viable option as the manual appears to be 144 pages long.

CBS on Cox, Here in Las Vegas CBS is saying as of Jan. 29 Cox will not carry it anymore, is this for all Cox areas or just Las Vegas.  There telling people to contact Direct TV, Dish or Century Link so can watch Super Bowl

What happened to this channel? 2 - 3 weeks ago and before you could stretch the channel to show with no side bars.  Currently even if you have your setting at 1080 p stretch you still get sidebars.  All programs affected -- commercials show with no sidebars.
